About
I am a Deep Learning Engineer and Researcher passionate about bridging the gap between Artificial Intelligence and Biological Systems.
Currently, I serve as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at James Cook University. My work focuses on developing novel deep learning architectures for underwater computer vision—solving complex challenges like fish segmentation, tracking without human annotation, and landmark detection in turbid environments.
Beyond marine science, I apply my expertise to biomedical imaging, automating measurements in ultrasound diagnostics. With 20+ published articles and 1000+ citations, I strive to build AI that solves real-world problems.
